Wicked soon became known for hits like Turning Point and Flashpoint (still Adult Empire's all-time bestselling DVD). Julia Ann became another fan favorite when she signed with Wicked in 2002, starring in the now-classic showcase Julia Ann: Hardcore. Directed by Jonathan Morgan, the movie opens with a monologue by Ann that could just as easily be describing Wicked itself: "I believe that it's very important for someone to keep reinventing themselves in their career." Wicked has always possessed this capability, while remaining true to Orenstein's original goal of creating quality adult productions. Wicked became famous partly through its creative synergy with Jameson, and they've continued in that pattern via fruitful collaborations with current contract stars Asa Akira and Jessica Drake. Other hit movies include Manhunters, a bounty hunter drama from director Brad Armstrong, and Operation: Desert Stormy, a satirical wartime adventure set in the Middle East. Wicked has also become known for their famously jam-packed compilations (Blondilicious, Award Winning Sex Stars).
