Ryder Skye

Born, bred and raised in Los Angeles, adult performer and actress Ryder Skye is the girl next door - the girl next door, that is, if you happen to live in the San Fernando Valley. The acclaimed adult performer enjoys her work in front of the camera and scripted features in particular because of her background as a former theater major.

"I've wanted to be a star for as long as I can remember," Skye remarked. "Getting out there and meeting my fans is the best and appearing in mainstream projects gives them a special thrill. It also puts me in front of people who I know will look for my 'other' movies once they find out who I am."

Skye is noted for her dramatic roles and expanded her reach into mainstream movies. She most recently appeared in Sex and the City, and intends to appear in more Hollywood productions.

Far from the usual California beach blonde, or the usual porn star for that matter, the budding Eurasian performer on the rise is pursuing a degree in women's studies and avidly supports women's rights, animal rights and environmental causes. She's a pro-sex feminist planning on a bright future in marriage and sex counseling.

"I've played many roles in the adult industry and each of them, in their own way, have been empowering," she said. "Scripted movies usually feature women in positions of power who exude their natural sexuality and femininity. I'm very conscious of making sure the movies I appear in are positive for women and something they can enjoy."
