Tyra Scott was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia where she began performing in cabaret acts in 2001, until she made the move to Los Vegas in late 2003, where she continued to perform. She also began her transition in 2001.

Scott started her career in the adult industry shortly thereafter, when she found an ad on Craigslist for TS Adult Models. Her first shoot was with Shemale Strokers for whom she appeared in 8 solo videos and on 7 DVD's. She briefly took a break from the industry as she continued her transition, and returned to performing in 2012.
