- Measurements: 36DD+ - 24" - 36"

She loved being naked so much that she began thinking about becoming a featured adult entertainer. Shortly thereafter, she became an established erotic actress. She has been in numerous adult magazines, adult TV shows, adult internet sites, and adult movies. Her years of ballet have paid off: Not only can she perform well with stage presence and flexibility, but she can dance. She also claims to have never received breast implants and openly discourages their use.
During the 2003 California recall, she was an independent candidate, placing tenth in a field of 135 candidates. She ran on a ten (later expanded to eleven) point platform, promising to:
- Legalize same-sex marriage
- Tax breast implants
- Make lap-dances tax deductible
- Wire the California Governor's Mansion with live web-cams
- Create a "Porn for Pistols" program to reduce the number of handguns
- Be a goodwill ambassador to attract business to the state
- Make those drawing unemployment insurance do jury duty for their pay
- Fight the attacks on the porn industry by John Ashcroft and the U.S. Department of Justice
- Allow bars to stay open until 4:00 A.M.
- Address the AIDS epidemic
In April 2005, she was arrested in connection with a Lakewood, Washington cabaret sting operation. She subsequently made a plea agreement and received a 19-month sentence, which was suspended pending her lack of legal problems for one year.
In December 2005 Mary announced she lost 20 pounds, got new teeth and got brand new 36D breasts. The addition of the new breasts lead to a change of her employer, moving from Kick-Ass Pictures to Legend. Mary was also named "2005 Bimbo of the Year" by WorldNetDaily.com.
In June 2005, Carey announced her bid for Lieutenant Governor of California as an Independent in 2006. She also attended a GOP fund-raiser with the president of the company that produces her porn videos and announced that she is a Republican. Given her previous political record, however, it remains to be seen if Californians will take her candidacy seriously. She would not be the first adult actress to win public office if her future bids are successful, as Italian porn-star Cicciolina was elected to the Italian Parliament.
Many members of the press have forecasted that she could do something inappropriate at the dinner or arrive in inappropriate attire as a publicity stunt; however, she was dressed formally for the occasion and did nothing unusual. Some, including Rev. Donald Wildmon of the American Family Association, believe that her new political affiliation is an organized attempt to embarrass Republicans, by showing a porn actress in the same dining hall with President Bush and her affiliation with the Republican Party. She has also said that she hopes to run on a major party nomination for President of the United States.

Interviews
Interview With Mary Carey - July 26, 2004
Phone Interview
Pornstar Empire: For our readers that may not know a lot about you, can you tell us a little about how you got started in the industry?
Mary Carey: Well, I was a theater major in college at FAU in Boca Raton, Florida. And while I was going to college, I started to get a part-time job stripping because I was also on my college dance team. So I started doing that, and I saw the feature dancers come in and I thought...wow...I want to be a feature dancer. And about a year later, I met a dance agent, and he told me well, if you want a future, you've got to build up your name and do magazines and stuff. So I started doing little things in Florida, then I finally came out to L.A. in like April or May of 2002. I'd come out for the weekend, do movies and go back and forth...and I eventually moved out here after my first AVN Awards Show. So that's how it all began.
Q: When you were younger, were you kind of like the "big flirt" or were you more quiet and reserved? Would people that you went to high school with be surprised by what you're doing now?
Mary Carey: Oh, everyone knows. I guess it does surprise some people. I recently ran into a girl that I haven't seen for three years out in L.A., and we've been hanging out...and she said that first she was surprised, but then not really because in high school I was always the one looking for attention. I was always dancing in the hallways. I was always the center of attention. I was always getting in trouble for talking. I didn't have a lot of boyfriends until I was about 16.
Q: Were you "into" porn before you headed out to L.A. Were you familiar with some of the names involved with the industry?
Mary Carey: I never knew who anyone in porn was until I was watching Howard Stern when I was about 18. And that's when I started to see porn stars. I was never really into porn, but then when I was 19 I slowly got curious about it...and I started renting movies and got more interested in it.
Q: Last year you drew some mainstream attention when you ran for governor of California. When you came up with the idea, how serious were you about running and how much did you just use it as a way to get your name out there and more recognition?
Mary Carey: I actually didn't even come up with it. The owner of Kick Ass Pictures, whom I'm under contract with for five more years, did. He came up with it. He called me one day and asked "Do you want to run for Governor?" and I was like, "Sure!" I was not taking it too seriously until we did my first campaign thing, so many cameras came out, I was like, "I love this!" I was really witty and clever - but it wasn't at all serious, it was more fun. I had fun with it.
Q: Arnold Schwarzenegger, of course, won the election and has been in office for a little over 8 months now. How would you assess his performance so far?
Mary Carey: I think he's doing great. I think he's been dealt some tough cards. I think he's been doing a good job. I really love Arnold Schwarzenegger - I think he's a great guy. If it couldn't be me, I'm glad it's Arnold.
Q: Here's a "porn star question" for you: If you got a chance to do a sex scene with one or the other, would you pick Arnold or Maria (Shriver)?
Mary Carey: Arnold. 100 percent! I don't think Maria's that cute...but I think Arnold is really hot. Especially back in the day...when he was Conan!
Q: While we're on the topic of politics, if you were old enough, would we have seen your name on the Presidential ballots this fall?
Mary Carey: Definitely. I would love to run for President. I may run for Governor again in a couple of years. I think the news will love the fact that I'm doing it again - they'll think it's funny. I don't think there will be 130 people running again...probably only about 10 of us, but I'm going to keep running. It will be like, "Oh! She's back!" Running for President - I don't know if I will when I am actually 35, because of the fact that I may not be as cute when I'm 35! So, I don't know...we'll see!
Q: Can I ask who you'll be casting a vote for in November: Bush, Kerry or Nader?
Mary Carey: John Kerry. Carey for Kerry! Definitely John Kerry. I would kind of like to vote for some off-the-wall person, but it's such a serious thing - running the United States - I feel that people shouldn't waste their votes. We need to get serious, because everyone knows it's either Bush or Kerry...one of those two is going to win. We need to make sure we actually vote for one of them. I definitely want John Kerry to win.
Q: Let's say you were President of the United States - what would your solution be to the war in Iraq?
Mary Carey: I think we need to leave the Iraqi people alone. We should have never went over there because they never had the weapons of mass destruction. And we killed a lot of their people over there. We should leave them alone. I think the United States is a little too harsh at times with other countries. I haven't seen Fahrenheit 9/11 yet, but people have told me about it and that after watching that movie you should realize that we're like a big bully toward all the other countries.
Q: When you did run for Governor, I know you got a chance to meet a lot of celebrities. Would you care to share with us who you met that turned out to be really nice; and who you met that was a complete jerk?
Mary Carey: Well, Sean Hannity was really mean to me. He said I sold my soul to the devil. He was a jerk. And Bill O'Reilly was actually really nice to me. I was so nervous to do the O'Reilly Factor, and he was really nice and funny - because I told him I just wanted to open people's eyes up, and he said, "Mary, I'm a very weak man." He was really nice, and I really liked him a lot.
Q: What's a typical day like for you when you're not working? What are your hobbies and interests?
Mary Carey: Well, I like going to the beach - that's one of my favorite things to do. I love the sun, I love the outdoors...laying out by the pool. I like to drink! That's one of my favorite things to do!
Q: Is your off-screen sex life as wild and adventurous as what we see in your movies?
Mary Carey: Yeah. Well, I do girls on camera, and I don't do a lot of girls in my private life - because it's hard to go out and meet a girl. Plus, I'm like really careful with diseases and stuff.
Q: Now, I know there was a period when you weren't doing guys on camera. Are you back to doing boy/girl now?
Mary Carey: Yes I am. In my last movie, called Mary Carey Rules 4, I do one boy/girl scene and two girl/girl scenes. It's really fun...it's a goofy movie and I really like it. I directed numbers 3 and 4 myself. So you should watch them!
Q: You've been in the industry a couple of years now...if there was one thing that you could change about the industry, what would it be?
Mary Carey: Well, obviously testing is something that was been a big issue a couple of months ago. I think that everyone has gone back to their normal routine, and I think we need to do HIV testing every 10 days instead of every 30 days. And people that shoot overseas and in other countries that come back shouldn't be allowed to shoot for two months. If we had done that with Darren James, we wouldn't have had anyone test with HIV except for him.
Q: Now, you're a contract girl and signed with Kick Ass for so many years - but a lot of the talent that aren't under contract are looking to unionize. Do you think that's a good thing or a bad thing?
Mary Carey: I think a union would be a good thing, I just don't think it would ever work. I came into porn thinking this would be my career...this is what I'm going to do. Some girls come in without a plan, they come in here as a way to make some quick cash. That would probably make it hard for a union...the ones that just come in here thinking about making fast money and not worried about the longevity of a career. They would undercut the union. It's a great idea, but people come and go so fast that I think it would be hard to start a union. But I think it's a good idea if they can figure out a way to do it.
Q: One final question: Are they real or fake?
Mary Carey: They're real and if you were here I'd let you squeeze them! I'd let you squeeze them and play with them and see that they're real. But you're not here!
